ZERO INSULTS ON NETWORKS

For the 2017-2018 season, the Catalan Football Federation has promoted the campaign 'Zero insults on networks!', following the line of 'Zero insults in the stands!', to make people aware of the danger that social networks have if they are used to insult or threaten others.

WHAT DOES THE CAMPAIGN CONSIST OF?

It aims to eradicate insults produced on social networks and the internet. In this sense, the FCF has created a specific Subcommittee to assess publications made about matches, including threats, insults, or possible violations of the FCF Code of Ethics, which could affect the honor or image of federated people and all those linked to the federation.

ELEMENTS THAT FORM PART OF IT

The FCF Ordinary General Assembly of 2017 approved the creation of the Social Networks Subcommittee, framed within the Sports Ethics and Fight Against Violence Commission, which is responsible for analyzing and assessing comments or statements made by federated members and club members on different social networks and messaging services, such as Facebook or Twitter. Through this analysis, the Subcommittee determines if interventions on social networks can involve violations of current regulations. In this case, it transfers it to the corresponding Competition Committees to proceed with opening a disciplinary file and, if applicable, apply the sanctions that correspond to the authors.
