FEMFUTFEM is the new program aimed at clubs to develop in schools and grow women's football from ages 5 to 8.

Football starts from a very young age. The Catalan Football Federation launches the FEMFUTFEM campaign, a new initiative aimed at promoting women's football in girls between 5 and 8 years old through an educational and sports program connecting clubs with schools. The project aims to bring football to girls who still have no prior experience in this sport, offering a safe, playful, and motivating environment where the game, using Disney movies as a vehicle, becomes the main learning tool.

WHAT DOES THE CAMPAIGN CONSIST OF?

FEMFUTFEM is designed so that clubs can develop activities in the schools in their municipality, creating synergies between the educational and sports areas. Through dynamic play-based sessions, participants are progressively introduced to the world of football through exercises and activities inspired by Disney movies. This resource allows creating games and situations incorporating the ball and early football concepts in a fun way adapted to the youngest ages. The program aims to contribute to breaking established social dynamics, giving girls protagonism and encouraging their participation in sports. Among the general objectives of the campaign stands out the promotion of values typical of team sports, such as respect, friendship, fun and trust, as well as initiating participants in basic football fundamentals. Furthermore, the program also seeks to facilitate the continuity of sports practice through regional clubs and provide tools so that sports entities can establish a direct collaboration network with educational centers in their municipality.

THE FCF INVESTS IN TRAINING

Training is also a key piece of the project. The Catalan Football Federation will offer free training to coaches who want to participate in the development of the program. This specific training will allow them to correctly apply the FEMFUTFEM methodology and adapt the activities to the needs of the participants. In addition, if the coach is already qualified, the club leading the program will obtain a training balance in its favor that it can use to train other members of its technical staff, thereby reinforcing the commitment to training within the club structure. With this initiative, the Catalan Football Federation continues to bid on the growth of women's grassroots football, promoting projects that allow more and more girls to discover football, enjoy the sport, and start their journey into the world of football.
